The Civic Space Technical Assistance Project<\/em>, funded by the European Union, is organizing a workshop titled \u201cHow Can We Promote Gender Equality in Our Organizations?\u201d<\/em> on February 25th<\/strong>, from 15:30 to 18:30<\/strong>, at the Civic Space office<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This workshop aims to enhance understanding of gender equality and support civil society organizations (CSOs) in mainstreaming this approach at the policy, action, and daily operation <\/strong>levels. The session will be facilitated by Fezel Nizam and \u00d6zge \u00d6zo\u011ful<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right<\/strong> but also essential for building a peaceful and sustainable<\/strong> world. Achieving meaningful social change requires a proactive and sustainable<\/strong> approach to gender equality. Gender mainstreaming<\/em> is a concept that seeks to integrate gender equality into all aspects of life, ensuring its achievement and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This interactive workshop<\/strong>, conducted in Turkish<\/strong>, will be based on Civic Space\u2019s \u201cGender Mainstreaming Guide.\u201d<\/em> This Guideline contains applicable measures that CSOs can use at policy, strategy and activity levels. In addition, the Guideline also provides a checklist that can be used to assess whether an organisation is implementing the recommended measures and steps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Civic Space is funded by the European Union with a total budget of \u20ac3,499,550<\/strong> and aims to strengthen civil society in the Turkish Cypriot community<\/strong> by supporting democratic change and confidence-building measures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
