Universal Patient`s Rights Association - UPRA
The workshop is designed to strengthen a women-centered approach to healthcare based on respect and knowledge, while equipping participants with critical thinking skills and a rights-based perspective. It aims to explore how information manipulation (the “post-truth” effect) impacts women’s health-related decisions, and to underline the importance of a rights-based approach. Participants will learn about reproductive rights, patient rights, and informed consent through clear and interactive methods, and will practice distinguishing factual knowledge from interpretation or belief.
Throughout the workshop, short presentations, video and news examples, a mini exercise entitled “Fact or Opinion?”, and group discussions based on three scenarios will be used. Through these activities, participants will analyze rights violations, misinformation, and ethical dilemmas that women may encounter in healthcare services.
