Human Rights Platform Association
“Reclaiming Truth” workshop, led by HRP’s monitoring report authors, explores how truth can be embraced as a shared civic value in an era of “post-truth” and fragmented information. Through concrete micro-cases, participants will examine the monitoring–data collection–verification chain and the impact of data-driven advocacy. Contributions from the audience will shape an interactive discussion, culminating in a 1-page draft of the ‘Monitoring-Truth Principles’ at the end of the workshop. The workshop seeks to emphasize various actionable ways to engage decision-makers and the public with evidence-based narratives, by highlighting standardized monitoring and transparent data as tools to restore the commons of civic space.
