Assessment of the Civil Society Environment in the northern part of Cyprus (EN)

“Assessment of the Civil Society Environment in the northern part of Cyprus”, is a report produced within the context of the Civic Space Project in December 2017. The objective of the assessment is to analyze the environment in which CSOs operate and determine the extent to which this environment is conducive and in line with the best European standards. The assessment covers three main areas: the registration and operation of CSOs, the existing tax benefits, and other financial mechanisms that support CSOs and the institutional relations between CSOs and the administration, as well as mechanisms for cooperation. This assessment aims to show the overall situation of the CSO sector in the northern part of Cyprus.
