Evrim Peker has more than 20 years of international development cooperation experience working in Palestine, Morocco, Benin, Gabon, Mali, Democratic Republic of Congo, etc. Of Belgian nationality, she speaks French, Turkish and English and she worked as team leader with European Union on long term projects since 2007 providing operational direction, ensuring the overall quality execution through leadership, coordination and technical support. She is specialized in civil society development, gender equality, fight against human trafficking, children’s rights, justice, public finances, etc.
Evrim has extensive experience with EU policies and operational modalities of EU funding instruments, tendering and contracting procedures, project management, monitoring and project evaluation.
She joined the team in January 2019 and is fully committed to improving the role and capacities of Turkish Cypriot Civil Society Organizations. While discovering the Cypriot context she has grown a strong interest in the bi-communal actions and is willing to support increased collaboration between Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot CSO.
