The European Union funded Technical Assistance project Civic Space organized the Advanced digital communication training to equip participants with skills, knowledge, and strategies they could apply in their work. The two-day training program was held on 8th and 9th April 2023, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and was attended by 31 participants from 17 different CSOs.
Civil society organizations (CSOs) play a critical role in advocating for social justice, promoting human rights, and holding duty-bearers accountable. In today's digital world, effective communication strategies are essential for CSOs to amplify their voices and mobilize their communities. To help achieve this, we organized an Advanced Digital Communication Training for CSOs.
The training curriculum was developed based on the specific needs and interests of the target audience. It covered a wide range of topics, such as digital communication strategies, content creation, social media management, email marketing, campaign planning and evaluation, digital security, and privacy.
The training was conducted by an experienced expert in the field of digital communication for CSOs. The sessions involved information delivery, hands-on exercises and practical assignments. The participants were encouraged to share their experiences, ideas, and best practices, which made the training even more engaging and informative.
The feedback from the participants was mostly positive. They appreciated the training content, methodology, and the knowledge and skills they gained. They also valued the networking opportunities the training provided them to connect with other CSOs and share knowledge and experiences.
The Advanced Digital Communication Training for CSOs was a success in terms of achieving its objectives. It empowered the participants with advanced digital communication skills, knowledge, and strategies they could apply to achieve their goals. It also created a platform for networking and collaboration among CSOs, which would lead to more effective advocacy and social change.
To solidify the information and skills gained in the training, we will continue to provide coaching support to participating CSOs based on their request.
We hope that this training will inspire and motivate not only the participating CSOs, but also others to invest in digital communication skills and strategies and to continue advocating for social change in their communities.
Civic Space is a project funded by the European Union with a total budget of 3,499,550 euros. Its objective is to contribute to building a stronger civil society in the Turkish Cypriot community that supports democratic changes and confidence-building measures.
