Activists, who will give support as mentors within the scope of the Civic Space Mentoring Program started planning and preparing for the new term. They attended three online refreshment meetings on September 30, October 28, and November 19, 2021. The 17 participating mentors strengthened their knowledge, shared their experiences and know-how, and identified their needs to support their future mentoring activities. Civic Space will continue to design and implement mentor meetings in line with mentors' needs in the future.
A pool of mentors for capacity strengthening.
Civic Space has initiated the Mentoring Program to maintain and sustain the capacity strengthening efforts by actively including CSOs representatives in peer-to-peer support. The Civic Space mentoring program is designed as a flexible and non-hierarchical process accessible by any CSO whereby participants are deemed equal and learn from each other, rather than through vertical relationship of teacher-learner.
In addition to its Mentoring Program, Civic Space offers other tools to support and strengthen Cypriot civil society: trainings, thematic seminars, conferences, study visits and the Grow Civic in-kind support programme.
