The Civic Space Technical Assistance Project, funded by the European Union, is organizing a workshop titled “How Can We Promote Gender Equality in Our Organizations?” on February 25th, from 15:30 to 18:30, at the Civic Space office.
This workshop aims to enhance understanding of gender equality and support civil society organizations (CSOs) in mainstreaming this approach at the policy, action, and daily operation levels. The session will be facilitated by Fezel Nizam and Özge Özoğul.
Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right but also essential for building a peaceful and sustainable world. Achieving meaningful social change requires a proactive and sustainable approach to gender equality. Gender mainstreaming is a concept that seeks to integrate gender equality into all aspects of life, ensuring its achievement and sustainability.
This interactive workshop, conducted in Turkish, will be based on Civic Space’s “Gender Mainstreaming Guide.” This Guideline contains applicable measures that CSOs can use at policy, strategy and activity levels. In addition, the Guideline also provides a checklist that can be used to assess whether an organisation is implementing the recommended measures and steps.
Civic Space is funded by the European Union with a total budget of €3,499,550 and aims to strengthen civil society in the Turkish Cypriot community by supporting democratic change and confidence-building measures.
