Civic Space is excited to announce the results of the Priority Package call, which was launched from 22 May to 20 June 2025. This call was conducted under the Grow Civic Programme, which is funded by the European Union’s Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community. This special package was designed to support civil society action, particularly from selected target regions and priority thematic areas that have been identified through the ongoing implementation of the Grow Civic Programme.
During the call, the Civic Space team visited target regions through a series of information sessions and help desks in Lefka-Morphou, Trikomo, and Karpasia. These outreach efforts provided a valuable opportunity for local actors to develop their ideas, receive feedback, and finalise their requests.
We are now excited to share that 17 requests for support were received, and following the evaluation process, 11 requests have been approved.
Regional Breakdown of Approved Actions is as follows:
- Lefka: 4
- Karpasia: 3
- Trikomo: 2
- Morphou: 2
The total approved budget for these actions is approximately €20,000.
Priority Themes that are covered:
- Animal Rights
- Children’s Rights
- Disability and Accessibility Rights
- Gender Equality and Women’s Rights
- Right to the City
- Youth
- Nature, Environment & Ecology

About the Priority Package
The Grow Civic Priority Package was designed to reach underrepresented regions identified through ongoing monitoring of the Grow Civic program. It encouraged first-time requesters, CSOs, and activists who have not previously received EU funding or Grow Civic support by offering a simplified process and easier access. The package has a focus on key thematic priorities identified as important by activists and CSOs in the targeted regions.
